SkyBound Education has been selected by the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) to lead a strategic planning consortium of Indiana school districts focused on safely reopening schools, accelerating learning, and implementing meaningful changes using COVID-relief funding. By leading this consortium, SkyBound will add capacity to the knowledgeable district and school leaders who best understand their community’s needs. Our goal is to help analyze data, facilitate collaboration between districts and IDOE personnel, and provide project management support to ensure that short-term and long-term goals are achieved.

The pandemic exacerbated existing inequities in Internet access, academic preparedness and achievement, stable housing, affordable nutrition, and more. But the pandemic also highlighted the flexibility of educators to dynamically meet the needs of students and families. SkyBound Education looks forward to working with schools to address challenges worsened by COVID-19 while leveraging lessons learned over the last several months.

The stakes for our students, educators, families, and communities are too high to simply “return to normal.” For this reason, SkyBound Education is committed to doing whatever it takes to help school districts seize this unique moment in history to reimagine how schools can best serve all students.
